MASSAGE AND BATH OILS

Star Child Bath and Massage Oils not only smell divine - they are magical treats. Each oil consists of carefully selected pure essential oils and absolutes in a blend of nourishing seed and nut base oils that have been potentized with specially prepared magical herbal infusions. The infusions contain herbs, flowers, resins, barks and magical tokens collected at sacred sites from all over the world. They are prepared in accordance with the cardinal times of the year and the cycles of the sun and moon. The symbols assigned to each type of oil indicate the ethereal nature of the special infusions added to the respective blends and thus provide a reference to their magical qualities.

BATH OILS
The body is our temple, so to care for it, cleanse it and grace it with sweet smelling fragrances is to invite the divine spirit into ones own being. Honouring the Gods and Goddesses in this way allows the spiritual and physical aspects of life to unite within one’s own bodily temple.

Water is the sacred source of life, the well of eternal youth and rejuvenation. Many cultures have created elaborate bathing rituals, which are pursued as a form of art and considered an essential aspect of civilization. In such traditions bath oils fragranced with essential oils play a vital role. Bath oils not only delight the senses with their heavenly aromas, but also replenish some of the natural skin oils that are normally simply washed away. Thus, they prevent dehydration and in the process nurture the skin, leaving it feeling soft, silky and smooth.

USE:
Add one tablespoon of bath oil to your bath water once the tub is full. Volatile oils evaporate easily at high temperatures, thus adding the oil with the running water risks losing some of its fragrance and effectiveness. Agitate the water to disperse the oil before entering the bath tub. This is important to achieve an even distribution of oil. We do not add any chemical additives to our blends, but we do use a natural dispersing agent which distributes the oil more evenly and prevents it from blobbing together. As you relax, enveloped by the heavenly scents, visualize purification on every level, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. Candlelight enhances the setting and assists relaxation. On leaving the bathtub take care not to slip (into an un-relaxed mode).

STORAGE:
We do not use artificial additives as preservatives in our blends. Essential oils are volatile and will ‘fly off’ if stored incorrectly. Keep bottles tightly sealed and store in a cool, dark space.

CAUTION
We do not recommend the use of bath and massage oils during pregnancy or if suffering from any serious medical condition. Care is advised for sensitive skin areas/types. If in doubt, test on a small area first.
